Finance/Career/Productivity Blogger - Withheld

I'm a boutique content marketing agency with a new sharing-economy client. I need a writer to dedicate to this account, with a mix of blog topics--tips & tactics, succeeding financially, using apps/technology well, handling tax/insurance issues, ensuring personal safety, getting good reviews, etc. Some examples of topics we would like to cover are: - Driving for Lyft vs. Driving for Uber - Roundups with successful rideshare drivers, sharing their best strategies. - Article roundups for interesting applications and articles We need someone who: - is a U.S.-based native English speaker. (No exceptions!) - is an individual freelancer looking for longterm work as part of a team of content marketing professionals. (No agencies will be considered.) - has some journalism experience. - Is able to construct a clear narrative written towards a specific reader. - Has an engaging, conversational writing style (smart, incisive, able to use humor within a professional context). - Can meet a 2x/week production deadline week-in, week-out - Can keep a reader's attention for at least 1500 words. - Believes conciseness is a sacred principle: “If it is possible to cut a word out, always cut it out.” George Orwell, Politics and the English Language. - Refuses to use weak verbs and lame filler words. - Wouldn't dream of starting a sentence--let alone an intro paragraph--with the flaccid phrase, "There is" or "There are." - Loves words in all their nuances. Colorful, vibrant nouns, sizzling subjects, magnetic headlines. - Knows how to conduct an interview. We'd love to find someone who: - Has expertise in the content marketing and finds the sharing economy fascinating. AirBnB, Uber, P2P lending...it all intrigues you. - Can show prior success pitching and getting published on finance, sharing-economy, or career/success blogs. - Is an effective researcher, able to use tools like BuzzSumo to research, curate, and reference influential, timely articles, infographics, and videos. - Has some design skill/formatting experience with WordPress If you have experience working with Hubspot, that's a big plus. I'd like to begin with a single post and see if it's a good fit. For the candidate I choose, I can guarantee $100/post, 2x/week, for each 1,500-word post. In other words, this is an $800/month gig for the right person. My ultimate goal is to groom a writer to be both head blogger and community manager as I grow this account and help drive a steady stream of new leads to my client's website. I view this as a great opportunity for a freelancer who's trying to develop a niche specialty, be part of a team, and have a longterm gig.
