Blogger for beginner beekeeping site - PerfectBee

Are you an experienced beekeeper with a talent for writing? Or are you a talented writer who can turn their hand to any subject and love to build up your experience in each area? We need 2 or 3 writers to help provide well-written content for a new web site focused on the beginner beekeeper. Writers who would initially cover two broad types of writing assignment (other types may be required later): . Large "in depth" articles on a specific topic, around 4,000 words. We have about 10 of these initially, spread out over 3 months (so maybe 3-4 per writer across that period). . Regular blog posts, each around 750 - 1,000 words, 2-4 times per month (per writer) The first of these (longer articles) is the most pressing for us short term. **About Us** We launched just one week ago (our "coming soon" page went online a month ago) and already have approaching 1500 Facebook likes and almost 900 opt-in subscribers. We are very eager to push ahead agressively with this momentum. Interest in our site is growing rapidily and we are looking to branch out into other social channels too (Pinterest, Twitter, etc). I'm looking to pay for writers to create greate content so I can free up some of my time to implement other ideas I have for my site. **What I'm Looking For** I will be asking for articles on all aspects of beekeeping. We are splitting our content over the next few months (and beyond) into: a) Learn about Bees. Wide range of bee related topics - history of beekeeping, science, behaviors, etc b) Your Beehive. Very practical content related to researching, purchasing and installing a first beehive. c) A Healthy Beehive. A range of topics related to keeping a beehive healthy and active. They will mostly be 'how-to guides', tutorial style or purely informational articles. But I might occasionally ask for other article types such as list-style posts, pros and cons, myth-busting or whatever. Articles need to be factually accurate, show a knowledge of beekeeping, be informative and (depending on the section - see above) mostly actionable and written in a light-hearted conversational tone and style. English MUST be your native language. You MUST proofread and grammar check all your writing before sending to us. I will provide the subjects / topics to write on, and a short outline of the articles content, but there will be lots of room for creativity and to write to your own style. I might also be willing to consider suggestions for article ideas and subjects. I will expect the articles to be 'scannable', with good use of headings, bullet-pointed / numbered lists, bolding and italics (if suitable) to make the text more easily read and suitable for the web. **The Role** I'm looking for 2 to 3 people who can write content as described above. I also have a couple of other writing projects coming up so there's the possibility of more work to follow. I'm looking for people I can hopefully get to know and work with long term. Pay The amount I pay will depend on a few factors but our maximum is 4 cents per word. We are hoping to establish a long term, ongoing relationship with good writers.
