Do you love writing, have a passion for live trending media and truly care about people? Are you experienced in Wordpress, a social media user and able to thread together entertaining and enjoyable articles? Well, this could be the job for you. Starts at 60, a Brisbane-based media company is Australia's largest baby boomer media site and boy, do we have a lot of fun online! We're looking for writers to join our fast-paced editorial team and be a part of the live trending media world. It's fun, it's busy and we're growing fast, so we want people who are excited by this and embrace where media is going tomorrow with a hunger for constant learning. The role is full-time, with steady but varying schedules including some early mornings and weekend hours (on rotational basis), the details of which will be discussed with shortlisted candidates. More specifically, we want you to apply if you have: More than 5 years mixed-media experience. A proven ability to plan and keep to editorial programming and work on a constant deadline. Entertaining writing skills and previous experience in a media environment. A vibe for the news and current affairs media. A love for the not-quite-older generations, and a care for people in general (only people with a heart should apply!). A good insight into politics and current affairs issues. Can use social media with high competency. Impeccable grammar and spelling. A desire to be relied upon as an integral member of our editorial team. And finally, the ability to use Wordpress and Photoshop. We are looking for candidates with previous experience in a digital media environment. Immediate Start.
