We're a relatively small but growing content outreach company – which is a fancy way of saying we write blogs and all kinds of content – that has immediate openings for freelance writers and copy editors. We have a wide range of topics and industries we write about or for, but we always have a need for the following: * Writers who have experience writing about tech-related topics * Writers who have experience writing about real estate, insurance, and legal topics * Writers who have experience writing about fashion and jewelry * English-as-a-first language writers with experience and savvy writing about topics for overseas clients. We will only accept applications from writers who speak (and write) English as a first language. These articles and blog posts require light research and are relatively quick and easy to write, so these are entry-level openings that pay a little over a penny per word. However, we have higher-paying assignments and positions for those who excel – and we typically promote from within. Same goes for copy editing; we pay, for example, $1.50 to edit an 800-word blog post, and the vast majority of our copy comes in clean, so editing doesn't take much time. We have just four rules when it comes to writing or editing for us: Follow all client directives for every story; run everything through CopyScape or a similar app; write compelling, clean copy every time, and; make all deadlines.
