The Updato.com (formally SamsungUpdate.com) is an established Android news blog with over 2 million monthly readers and 3 million app users. Founded by a core group of techies, Updato is a part of the web news reporting community since 2010. We are looking for enthusiastic Android users and more importantly highly skilled technical writers with SEO and keyword-research experience. This is a semi full-time, long-term position. Job description includes writing, editing and proofreading extensive "how to" and "news" articles about latest Android technologies. Each article must be exceptional in quality and value, casually written and easy to read, with a compelling title and strong keyword research. Responsibilities: - Write, edit, and proofread articles, to create shareable and engaging content - Assist the Editorial Team in generating new content topics - Craft highly shareable and attention grabbing headlines - Meet regular submission deadlines Requirements: - Previously published work in the mobile industry - Fundamental knowledge in SEO and keyword research - Proper spelling, grammar, punctuation and syntax in communication Preferred experience: - WordPress - Basic Photoshop - Basic HTML/PHP/CSS - Dropbox/Slack - Google Analytics Authors will be paid on a fixed monthly basis or on pay-per-post basis. The payments will be made via PayPal. Pay scale depends upon the experience and availability of the author.
