Music and Arts Writers - Rawckus Magazine

Rawckus Magazine would like to invite music and arts writers to pitch us. The best way to do this is to focus topics on what’s current (within the last 3 months ideally), or soon to be, in both music and performance arts. These include the following topics: • Reviews of newly released (or re-released) albums • profiles and interviews with bands/singers on tour • reviews of new equipment for musicians • buzz-worthy moments captured on video • reaction pieces to articles written by other music journalists • profiles/reviews of art and music exhibitions • interview with musicians/artists who have new work out • reflections on famous musicians/artists who have died • exposes and op-eds on trends in the industry • cultural, legal, and financial topics related to the industry (e.g. illegal downloading, revenues for musicians from streaming) • preview/profiles/review of festivals, benefits, and concerts • anniversaries of famous events, albums, etc • profiles of newly opened or renovated music venues • links and commentary to related podcasts We pay $40.00 per 500-600 feature and $20.00 for short 250-300 listicles.
