Infographics + Firearms + U.S. History Researcher/Writer - Ammo.com

Are you a firearm-savvy writer who loves doing data-driven research and thinks like a marketer? Here's a chance to freelance while managing the creation of beautiful infographics which spread powerful ideas about freedom in America! We are hiring a talented researcher + copywriter to manage the creation of a series of 10 infographics. You will be in charge of finding and compiling data, writing the copy which explains the data, and then working with our designer to create compelling infographics. At Ammo.com, we seek to arm and educate our American customers, both physically and philosophically. How? By leveraging their interest in firearms to discuss broader topics of self-reliance, personal sovereignty, civil rights, and American history. You must be: - Detail-oriented (i.e. OCD) - Experienced with firearms - Interested in American history - Professional and clear writer - Comfortable giving and receiving candid feedback Initially you will do the research and write the copy to create a series of 10 infographics. Topics include: - HOW BACKGROUND CHECKS WORK - What scenarios does someone have to get a NICS background check when purchasing a gun? And in what scenarios do they not? Also, where does the requirement to get a background check come from? - HISTORY OF FIREARMS - Explain the history of firearms, starting from muzzle loading rifles from before the time of breech loading guns, up to modern day sporting rifles. - BEST PLACES FOR PREPPERS - Where in the U.S. should a prepper base themselves by looking at how to minimize both natural risk factors (hurricane, volcano, tornado, etc.) and man-made factors (nuclear meltdown, pandemic, etc.)? If our initial engagement goes well, there is potential for future research + copywriting projects. P.S.
