About Us & The Role Alternative Media is an Australian company that owns and operates a number of comparison sites in the financial services space - our biggest verticals are health insurance, home loans, utilities (i.e. gas and electricity), and life insurance. Our offices are located in Sydney, but this role is open to anyone in the Asia Pacific region. We are looking for a talented copywriter to join our team on a part time basis (~20 hours per week) with the potential to move to full time in the short-medium term. Responsibilities Write news / editorial style articles to compel readers to take action immediately Come up with eye catching headlines within tight character length constraints Brainstorm email marketing concepts and mocking up basic design guidelines Manage our team of designers and developers to see things through from concept to design to fully coded and tested EDMs Optimise copy on our existing landing pages Create high quality evergreen guides on a diverse range of personal finance related topics Experience / Skills Required Native English speaker At least two years of copywriting experience Ability to turn around high quality copy quickly A strong understanding of psychology and user behaviour Ability to do independent research and acquire an in-depth knowledge of the products, services, and customers we deal with At least a basic conceptual understanding of conversion rates, sales funnels, and analytics You need to be available for at least 3-4 hours every weekday between 9am and 6pm AEST.
