Job Summary Robinson & Henry, P.C., a fast growing and forward thinking law firm, is seeking an additional Content Writer to join our team and establish the content marketing function. The Content Marketing Writer will be expected to establish content marketing as a core function of the organization. Currently we have a robust PPC campaign in place, a variety of websites, strong organic web traffic, a healthy dose of SEO knowledge, a handful of social media accounts, and lots of topic potential for more original branded content. We serve both consumer and business clients, so you won’t get bored! The Content Marketing Writer will need to be well rounded with experience in determining relevant content opportunities, creating and editing content, curating content, promoting content and tracking key metrics. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in building the content team of their dreams. No past legal marketing experience required. B2C Marketing Experience is required. Responsibilities The Content Marketing Writer has three broad areas of responsibility: • Content Marketing • Advertising and event materials Content Planning & Marketing: • Learn about our various audiences, their needs, and how to best reach and engage them; hands-on experience with audience persona development and keyword research is essential • Develop and maintain a reasonable content marketing plan and functional content calendar • Set-up systems/tools to manage and track workflow, content assets, content life cycles and activities for promoting content • Work with in-house subject matter experts (our attorneys) to write, edit, and manage production of original branded content assets, such as articles, infographics, videos, and other assets targeted to specific audience personas • Ensure that content ideas are developed across a variety of media types (ex. brief articles, infographics, videos) • Write, edit, and post new content following SEO best practices Education & Qualifications The Content Marketing Manager will need to work quickly and be highly collaborative with the following experience and qualifications, or their equivalent: • BA or BS degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, or similar field • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in marketing • Ability to work effectively with subject matter experts • Ability to take relatively complex subjects and translate for the general public • Strong content/journalistic writing skills demonstrated via blog posts and other written work • Strong proof reader and editor • Experience using Content Management Systems, WordPress a plus Personal Characteristics The successful candidate should be: • Highly collaborative • Self-managing • Creative • Detail oriented • Flexible • Believes in “no random acts of content” • Works well independently and as a member of a team, as we anticipate expanding the marketing department Robinson & Henry, PC Founded in 1990, Robinson & Henry is a Colorado law firm with offices in Castle Rock and Denver and approximately 20 attorneys who practice in: criminal law, family law and divorce; tax and IRS disputes; real estate; estate planning and probate; bankruptcy; business law and civil litigation serving the needs of individuals, businesses, families, and nonprofit organizations.
